Why Alan Cross misses old-school record stores

One night, while trying to find something other than the endless scrolling of stories about Donald, I stumbled upon an advertisement for a strange scented candle. We're used to this sort of thing (thanks Gwyneth!), But I never imagined finding a candle that smells like a record store.

A hand-molded candle from DW Home says, "The familiar scent of pressed vinyl and warm wood fills the air, accentuated by notes of sweet flowers, amber and soft fruits." And the reviews were great. Funnily enough, the record shops I've been to often smell like dust, moldy cardboard, and whatever the guy behind the counter ate for lunch. But maybe I was shopping at the wrong place.
